Your best estimator is counting dots at 10 p.m.
Hours per bid, gone. Hand-counting outlets, switches and fixtures across every sheet eats the time you need to price and win the work.
One miss costs real money. A skipped sheet or a double-counted symbol shows up later as lost margin or a lost bid.
Software still needs an operator. Takeoff tools are powerful, but someone on your team still has to learn them and run them on every job.

Questions contractors ask
Electrical takeoff services FAQ
What is an electrical takeoff?
An electrical takeoff is a full count and measurement of everything on the electrical drawings: receptacles, switches, light fixtures, panels, equipment, and conduit and wire lengths. Contractors use it to price materials and labor for a bid.
How fast will I get my takeoff back?
Prints received on a business day are returned the next business day. If your bid is due sooner, put the date in your request and we'll tell you right away whether we can meet it.
How do you use AI, and who checks the counts?
AI scans every sheet and counts symbols against the plan legend. An estimator then reviews the results, checks fixture and panel schedules, and corrects anything the software missed before you receive it.
What do I need to send?
A PDF plan set is ideal, including the electrical sheets, legend and schedules. Share a Dropbox, Google Drive or plan-room link in the form, or email the files to Info@aiestimators.io.
Do you work with contractors in my state?
Yes. We work remotely from your plans, so we serve electrical contractors, estimators and general contractors across the United States.
How much does a takeoff cost?
Your first takeoff is free. After that, each project is quoted up front based on the size of the plan set and the scope you choose, so you know the price before we start.
